European Union Adds 'Sudanese Gulf Bank' to Sanctions Lists

The European Union has added the 'Sudanese Gulf Bank' to the sanctions lists in light of the ongoing war in Sudan, accusing it of supporting the Rapid Support Forces and considering it to be undermining the economic and political stability in the country.
The European Union stated that the bank is owned by the Rapid Support Forces and is used as a tool to finance their operations, making it a direct target of the new European sanctions imposed on parties fueling the Sudanese conflict.
The new European sanctions also included the 'Red Rock Mining Corporation', in addition to two individuals, as part of the pressure on the parties involved in the war, to prevent any funding that could prolong the deadly conflict in Sudan.
Today, the European Union adopted the fourth package of restrictive measures against individuals and entities, amidst the continued deterioration of the dire situation in Sudan, where clashes have been ongoing between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces for over two years.
