The Minister of Emergency discusses with "OCHA" ways to cooperate and coordinate humanitarian response efforts in Syria

The Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management in Syria, Raed Saleh, today, Tuesday, discussed with the Acting Head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs "OCHA" in Syria, Oscar Chavez, ways to cooperate and coordinate humanitarian response efforts across the country, and ensure the delivery of aid to all citizens.

According to "SANA", the two sides reviewed during the meeting the coordination, monitoring, and accountability mechanisms adopted by the government to ensure equitable access to those in need, emphasizing the necessity of adopting transparency in humanitarian work and rejecting any form of discrimination.

The two sides also discussed the humanitarian situation in Sweida Governorate, working to secure the delivery of aid to civilians, and funding opportunities to cover the urgent needs of the displaced and the people of Sweida.
