The Attorney General in Damascus, Judge Hossam Khattab, confirmed the formation of a specialized judicial and security investigation team to investigate the murder of the victim "Diala Salhi Al-Wadi" in the Al-Malki neighborhood of the capital, Damascus.

Judge Khattab explained in a statement to the "SANA" agency that the team began its work from the early hours of the incident under his direct supervision, noting that "after tracking surveillance cameras and reviewing communication towers, the identities of the suspects were determined, and it became clear that a worker who frequented the victim's house was involved in planning the crime with her husband."

He added that the security forces were able to arrest the woman in the "Jaramana" area, where part of the stolen goods was found in her home, and her husband was also arrested, who "immediately confessed to committing the murder." The perpetrators were referred to the Criminal Investigation Branch, where the husband reenacted the crime scene and confirmed his confession of the incident.

Judge Khattab concluded his statement by saying: "The arrest of the suspects is an important step towards achieving justice, and we affirm that we will not hesitate to hold accountable anyone who dares to undermine the security and safety of citizens, and we will work diligently to ensure a fair and transparent trial, and we will not forget the blood of the victims and their families, and justice is coming and will be vigilant against anyone who violates the law."

It is worth mentioning that the head of internal security in Damascus, Brigadier General Osama Muhammad Khair Atika, had announced yesterday the details of the crime, confirming that "investigations are still ongoing to complete all details."
