The American Professional League has decided to ban Yassin Chuicko, the personal bodyguard of soccer star Lionel Messi, from protecting the Argentine striker during the team's matches. The league will now take full responsibility for match security, allowing Chuicko only access to the dressing rooms and mixed areas. Messi's personal bodyguard confirmed that the league will not allow him to be present on the field, as reported by Spanish media. Chuicko stated, "I spent seven years in Europe, worked in the French league and the Champions League, and only six people invaded the field... then I came to America, and within just 20 months, 16 people have done so... there is a big problem here, let me help Messi." This decision to hire Chuicko comes amid a growing number of pitch invaders in recent years, as Messi's move to Miami in 2023 has garnered significant attention. The personal bodyguard, who arrived in Miami from Paris after protecting Messi at Paris Saint-Germain, was called to work in April of last year after a fan was spotted running towards the football legend from behind a goalpost. Chuicko, a former American soldier, gained widespread fame for his documented efforts to protect Messi from the crowds during Inter Miami matches, and for chasing away individuals who encroached on the field during American football league matches. His appearances in numerous videos show him closely monitoring the crowds to prevent anyone from harming Messi, an eight-time Ballon d'Or winner.
