The Investigation Committee on the Events in Sweida: We are not a judicial authority and our task is to refer the lists of suspects to the judiciary

The Investigation Committee on the Events in Sweida stated today, Saturday, that the committee will conclude its work by issuing its report and "we are not a judicial authority and our task is to refer the lists of suspects to the judiciary".

It added: "As long as the state is capable of conducting investigations, it is not legally possible to form an international investigation committee".

It is worth mentioning that the committee held its first session today at the Ministry of Justice headquarters in Damascus, with the presence of the Minister of Justice, Dr. Mazhar al-Wais.
