Ter Stegen will be the third choice in Barcelona team next season

Spanish media reports today, Saturday, mentioned that the German international goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen will be the third choice in Barcelona team next season.
Sport newspaper revealed that Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has already informed Ter Stegen that his Spanish teammate Juan García and Polish Wojciech Cieszyński are the first and second choices ahead of him.
In a related context, Mundo Deportivo newspaper added that Flick does not intend to rely primarily on the German goalkeeper in the new season.
Reports also indicated that Flick has left Ter Stegen (33 years old) the freedom to decide whether he wants to leave or stay with the team and fight for a place in the starting lineup.
Ter Stegen is under contract with Barcelona until 2028, and the club signed Juan García this summer and renewed the contract with Cieszyński.
Cieszyński replaced Ter Stegen after the latter suffered a serious knee injury in September 2024, causing him to be absent from the fields for about seven months.
It is rumored that clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Galatasaray, and Monaco are interested in signing Ter Stegen.
