Syrian Ministry of Higher Education Allows Students to Complete PhD Registration

The Syrian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has issued a decision allowing students to complete the registration procedures for a PhD degree at government universities, in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The decision was based on what was approved by the Higher Education Council during its meeting last Sunday, which included a set of important decisions related to student affairs and members of the academic and technical staff in higher education institutions.

The decision stipulated that "the period from 8-12-2024 until the date of issuance of this decision shall not be counted as part of the periods required by laws and regulations", meaning that the mentioned period will not affect the specified timelines for completing registration requirements.
