The Syrian Minister of Social Affairs discusses with the Jordanian Minister of Labor ways of mutual cooperation.

As part of their participation in the 113th session of the International Labour Conference, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor in the Syrian caretaker government, Hind Kabawat, held a meeting with the Jordanian Minister of Labor, Khaled Al Bakkar, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of labor, social security, and exchange of expertise.
According to the media office of the Syrian Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, the two sides discussed mechanisms to develop cooperation in the field of labor inspection, and ways to activate the "Hemaya" electronic platform that allows workers to submit and follow up on their complaints systematically.
The meeting also addressed enhancing partnerships with the private sector to establish specialized training centers to qualify youth and equip them with the skills required by the labor markets.
It is worth mentioning that the International Labour Conference, which started on June 2, 2024, at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, witnesses the participation of more than 5,000 delegates from 193 countries, discussing global labor issues and social rights, as part of efforts to improve working conditions and enhance social justice.
