Syrian Minister of Local Administration and Environment receives a UN delegation to enhance humanitarian cooperation.

Engineer Mohammad Anjarani, Minister of Local Administration and Environment, received a delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) led by Ms. Edem Wosornu, Director of Operations and Advocacy at the organization.
During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation between the Syrian government and international organizations were discussed, especially in humanitarian areas, including supporting local administration and improving environmental services.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms for providing humanitarian aid and facilitating its delivery to beneficiaries, amidst the current economic and social challenges facing Syria, emphasizing the importance of overcoming obstacles to ensure the effectiveness of the humanitarian response.
This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to coordinate joint work between the Syrian government and international organizations to improve living conditions and meet the basic requirements of citizens.
