Syrian Minister of Information, Dr. Hamza Mustafa, met with the Director of International Affairs at the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Gypsy Geyik Kaiser, on the sidelines of his participation in the Bonn International Media Forum, which began last Monday in the German city of Bonn.


The two sides discussed cooperation prospects in the field of protecting journalists, where the minister reviewed the efforts of his ministry in enhancing a safe environment for media work in Syria, in addition to expanding partnerships with international entities concerned with press freedom.


The Syrian Minister of Information is participating in the forum alongside representatives from governments, international media institutions, and a number of journalists and experts from around the world, as part of global discussions on media development and ensuring the safety of those working in it.
