The Syrian Minister of Education discusses with the General Secretariat of the Presidency the development of educational legislation

The Syrian Minister of Education, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turko, discussed today, Sunday, with the head of the legal committee formed in the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Judge Consultant Firas Shawardi, the development of educational legislation and overcoming the challenges facing the educational sector in Syria.

During the meeting, the ministry's vision for updating and developing the regulations governing its work and the affiliated entities was discussed, in a way that contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the educational system and improving the quality of education in both the public and private sectors, and addressing various challenges and difficulties that hinder the educational process.

The attendees also emphasized the importance of reviewing the existing legislation and working to abolish exceptional laws, if any, in line with national and constitutional transformations and to enhance the principles of justice and the rule of law.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the legal committee, ensuring the acceleration of the tasks assigned to the committee, and serving the national project in developing education according to the ministry's vision for the upcoming phase.
