The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Nour al-Din al-Baba, denied today, Friday, a video circulating on social media regarding a popular singer being assaulted by public security forces in the city of al-Bab in the countryside of Aleppo.

Al-Baba said: "We categorically deny the rumors circulating on social media about a popular singer being assaulted by public security forces in the city of al-Bab in the countryside of Aleppo, and no security entity is related to the mentioned incident."

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: "We face many systematic disinformation campaigns aimed at tarnishing the image of public security."

Al-Baba continued: "We conduct our work transparently, and if a mistake occurs, we apologize and hold accountable, but we will not remain silent about lies and fabrications of accusations."
