Syrian Ministry of Interior Denies Allegations of Mass Executions and Affirms Stability in As-Suwayda

The Syrian Ministry of Interior, through its official spokesperson Nour al-Din al-Baba, denied the allegations circulating on social media about "carrying out mass executions against prisoners and detainees from the former regime or its affiliates", describing these claims as "completely baseless".
This came in statements conveyed by the official SANA news agency on Wednesday, July 23, where al-Baba emphasized that "the purpose of spreading such rumors is to tarnish the image of the Syrian state and incite sedition that threatens civil peace".
The spokesperson pointed out the Syrian government's commitment "to implementing the internationally recognized agreement, despite violations by the other party", listing efforts aimed at restoring stability in the province of As-Suwayda. He added that "the departure of families from the province is temporary due to humanitarian and security conditions, and their return will be soon after securing the province".
In a related context, the Ministry of Interior condemned the videos showing "field executions by unidentified individuals in military uniforms in the city of As-Suwayda", affirming that "these actions constitute serious crimes punishable by the law with the harshest penalties".
It announced "an urgent investigation by the competent authorities to identify those involved in these crimes, pursue them, and arrest them".
On the other hand, the Media and Communication Administration at the Ministry of Defense confirmed that it "monitored reports of shocking and serious violations committed by an unknown group wearing military uniforms in the city of As-Suwayda", without providing further details in this regard.
