The Syrian Minister of Health, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, today, Monday, discussed with the Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services, Mohamed Othman Akram, ways to enhance joint health cooperation and support health facilities in Syria.
The two sides addressed during the meeting ways to support the health sector in Syria and rehabilitate and restore the infrastructure of hospitals.
The Minister of Health explained the health situation and the significant shortage of specialized equipment, especially MRI machines, praising the efforts made by the office and the support it provides in restoring and rehabilitating health facilities, which contributes to improving the medical service provided to patients.
Akram expressed the office's efforts to provide the necessary support to advance the health sector in Syria, noting that the restoration and rehabilitation works of several departments in the large Homs hospital have been completed to ensure health services for citizens.
