The Syrian Ministry of Finance stated today, Thursday, that it has started transferring salaries to workers in Sweida Governorate, with part of the money allocated for salaries being stolen in an armed robbery by lawless groups.
The ministry added on Telegram: "Among the recorded incidents: the robbery of the branch of the Syrian Commercial Bank in the city of Shahba", and continued: "These attacks hinder the completion of salary payments to workers and retirees in the governorate".
The ministry affirmed that the state is keen on fulfilling its duties, and the safety of workers in public institutions is a priority to ensure the continuity of service provision.
