The Syrian Ministry of Defense denies what is being circulated as new military movements

The Media and Communication Department of the Syrian Ministry of Defense denied today, Sunday, what is being circulated on social media as new military movements.

It stated: "Some social media platforms circulated video footage of a training exercise of the Syrian Arab Army south of Aleppo and it was circulated as new military movements. In this regard, we clarify that what was reported by (Al-Arabi Television) and several media outlets that quoted it in this regard is inaccurate and does not reflect reality."

It called on all media outlets to adhere to the highest levels of investigation and verification before publishing any information or statements related to official entities.

It added: "The approved communication channels with the relevant authorities are available and known to everyone."
