As part of the response to recent events in the Sweida Governorate, the Syrian Civil Defense announced today, Sunday, July 20, the preparation of 25 shelter centers in Daraa Governorate to receive displaced people from Sweida and its countryside.

A statement published by the official Syrian Civil Defense accounts stated: "Our teams participated, as part of the response of the operations room formed by the Ministry of Emergencies and Disaster Management, in preparing 25 shelter centers in response to the bloody events witnessed in Sweida".

The statement added: "The teams transported families who preferred to flee to these centers, and continue to provide basic necessities in cooperation with partner humanitarian organizations".

On the other hand, the Syrian government sent a humanitarian aid convoy to the Sweida Governorate this morning, after the end of the clashes and the opening of safe passages.
