Syrian Civil Defense Controls Forest Fires in Idlib and Hama.. Difficulties Facing Suppression Operations

Syrian Civil Defense teams managed to control two large forest fires that broke out in the Idlib and Hama regions, after continuous efforts facing significant difficulties due to the surrounding conditions.
In western Idlib countryside:
A forest fire broke out in the Ain Bandq area in the Baksriya district in the western countryside of Idlib after midnight yesterday, where 7 firefighting teams worked continuously for 15 hours to extinguish the flames.
The Civil Defense explained that the teams faced "significant difficulties due to difficult mountainous terrains, lack of fire lines, increasing wind speed, and distance from water sources."
They added that the teams continue cooling operations and monitoring the area "to prevent the re-ignition of fires," confirming that this fire is "separate from the fires in Latakia countryside and not connected to them."
In Hama countryside:
Firefighting teams also succeeded in controlling another massive fire that broke out near the village of Foro and the mountains overlooking the Al-Ghab plain, after 10 hours of continuous work.
The Civil Defense mentioned that the teams faced additional challenges, most notably "explosions of war remnants and mines," pointing out that the teams "directly confronted the fire and prevented its spread to other areas," and are still working on cooling and monitoring the site.
Ongoing Fires in Latakia:
In a related context, northwestern Syria is witnessing a wave of forest fires, as firefighting teams have been battling one of the largest fires in northern Latakia countryside for the past 5 days, amid fears of its spread due to difficult weather and geographical conditions.
