The late artist comes from a prestigious artistic family, being the daughter of the lyricist Nazmi Abdulaziz, and the sister of the artist Loura Abdulaziz, with her aunt being the renowned composer Azmi Mora.
Samar Abdulaziz was known for her melodious voice and distinctive performances in songs like "Yesaad Li Hal Masa," "Taalamna," and "Bihayatna La Tazaloua," as well as her roles in successful TV series like "Bab Al-Hara," "Anashid Al-Matar," and "Sirat Al-Jalali Family." Her latest work was the series "Layali Roxy," which aired last Ramadan.
Abdulaziz experienced a severe emotional shock in 2021 following her divorce from the director Mohammed Ma'ruf after a marriage that lasted only 12 days. This was followed by her diagnosis with breast cancer, leading her to undergo a challenging treatment journey involving the removal of one breast and chemotherapy sessions before announcing her recovery in 2023.
However, health complications resurfaced, as the disease affected her immune system, resulting in severe liver inflammation and a deterioration in her health in her final days.
