Syria Signs Investment Contract with Emirati Company

The General Authority of Syrian Civil Aviation and "Fleek" company for outdoor advertising signed an investment contract to establish and develop advertising spaces at Damascus International Airport, during a ceremony held at the Authority's headquarters in Damascus.
Mohammed Al-Mardini, the CEO of "Fleek" company, emphasized that this agreement represents a "pivotal step in the company's vision to modernize the advertising sector in Syria", noting that the goal is to "provide an advertising experience that reflects the modern face of Damascus from the moment the visitor arrives".
Al-Mardini added: "We rely on our experience in enhancing advertising value at other airports, while ensuring respect for Damascus' cultural privacy", pointing out that the global airport advertising market is estimated at around $4.24 billion by 2024, and the company seeks to include Syrian airports in this map through creative solutions that comply with international standards.
On his part, Hadi Qassam, the Legal Affairs Director at the Authority, explained that the selection of the Emirati "Fleek" came after winning the official bid conducted according to the highest standards, indicating that the contract extends for five years as part of a strategy to enhance investment in air transport.
Qassam affirmed that "this partnership reflects the direction towards developing the advertising infrastructure at the airport according to global standards, befitting its status as a main gateway to the country", expressing his expectations that it will contribute to "improving services, achieving economic returns, and paving the way for further partnerships with the private sector in line with the Authority's 2030 vision".
Last week, the President of the General Authority of Syrian Civil Aviation, Omar Al-Hassri, revealed a comprehensive plan to develop the aviation sector in the country, including transforming Mezzeh Military Airport into a civilian airport.
