The Chief Sharia Judge in Damascus announced that tomorrow, Sunday, will be the completion of the blessed month of Ramadan, after an error occurred in determining Sunday as the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

Later, the Sharia Judge justified retracting the news due to the inability to sight the moon and following the noble prophetic tradition which states, "Fast when you see it and break your fast when you see it, and if it is cloudy for you, then complete the month as thirty days."

Several Arab countries have announced that Sunday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Sudan, and Bahrain.
