Al-Suwayda: Attempted Assassination of the Leader of "Free Men of Mount Arab".

Local networks, including "Suwayda 24," reported today, Saturday, March 8, that a rocket shell hit the Sheikh's house in Suwayda city, followed by intense gunfire from inside the house and some surrounding houses towards the source of the shell.
The networks explained that "the targeting resulted in two minor injuries to the residents of the house, in addition to material damage." Abdul Baqi has not yet shared any information on his social media accounts regarding the incident.
It is worth mentioning that "Abdul Baqi has survived two assassination attempts, the latest of which was on November 11, 2024, when he was shot by unknown individuals from a car and was subsequently taken to the hospital."
The local "Free Men of Jabal al-Arab" coalition in Suwayda accused the former regime of being involved in the attempt to assassinate their leader.
The second attempt was on September 11, 2021, when unknown individuals fired a shell 300 meters away from Abdul Baqi's house, resulting in no injuries. At that time, the Sheikh did not accuse any party of attempting to assassinate him.
Abdul Baqi holds the position of leader of the "Free Men of Jabal al-Arab" coalition and is one of the prominent figures in Suwayda who led the popular movement in the city.
Abdul Baqi is 35 years old and has a stance against the Syrian regime and its president Bashar al-Assad, as well as opposing the presence of Iranian militias in Syria.
