Syria Signs Partnership Agreement with Azerbaijani Company "Sokar" for Natural Gas Supply

Syria has signed an agreement with the Azerbaijani company "Sokar" to supply natural gas to the country during an official visit by President Ahmed Al-Shar'a to Azerbaijan, accompanied by Energy Minister Mohammad Al-Bashir.

Al-Bashir tweeted on the "Ex" platform: "Today, Mr. President Ahmed Al-Shar'a visited Azerbaijan on an official visit, where we discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of natural gas to secure the energy future in Syria".


He added: "An agreement has been signed with Sokar company regarding the supply of natural gas to Syria, in a step towards energy independence and building strategic partnerships that serve the nation and its citizens".

President of Syria, Ahmed Al-Shar'a, began an official visit to Azerbaijan today, Saturday, the first since taking office.
