"Filming of the series 'Caesar' has been halted... and the reason!"

According to a statement issued today, Thursday, February 27, after the controversy surrounding the series and the participation of controversial figures, and the subsequent rejection by the Syrian street, and in commitment to the opinion of our noble people and respecting their aspirations, it has been decided to temporarily suspend work on the series, change its name, and review the list of participants.
The lead role in the series was supposed to be played by Ghassan Massoud, and it consists of 10 trios inspired by real events that took place in Sednaya prison.
The announcement of starting filming the work a few days ago has faced criticism from the Syrian street, ranging from rejecting the work as it is seen as "following a trend" regardless of the real story's suffering.
Others believe that the suffering of hundreds of thousands of Syrian detainees is not suitable to be turned into an entertainment series for Ramadan.
In addition to the criticism directed at the choice of Ghassan Massoud for the lead role, known for his unsupportive stance towards the Syrian revolution, and politically leaning in favor of the previous regime.
