Sherine Abdel Wahab's mother is in the hospital... and this is the reason.

Mohamed Abdel Wahab, the brother of the artist Sherine Abdel Wahab, denied the rumors circulating about her causing his imprisonment for 3 years, in addition to their mother being hospitalized as a result.

Abdel Wahab stated in a post on his Facebook account: "This information is completely untrue, and there is no connection between my mother's hospitalization and anything else."

He added: "My mother is an elderly lady, and we regularly subject her to medical tests to ensure her health, there is nothing more to it."

He continued in his post: "As for the case, it has been shelved by the prosecution for the 12th time approximately, I have not been imprisoned or sentenced to 3 years, all of this is incorrect."

Rumors started to follow the controversial Egyptian singer after her brother announced their mother's health crisis and her transfer to the hospital.

The rumors came after the siblings went through several disputes during Sherine's marriage to the Egyptian artist Tamer Habib, before reconciling with an apology message Sherine directed to her brother in September 2024.

In the apology message, Sherine said: "Many do not know the reason for the estrangement with my brother, the reason is that he once made me choose between him and the one I married, and because God commands the wife to obey her husband, I decided to please our Lord, but you, my brother, were right, and I was wrong. I am sorry for everything, because I sold you at the cheapest price. I wish I had listened to you, my dear."
