Sheikh Al-Hanawi visits the governor of Al-Suwayda, congratulating him on Eid al-Fitr and emphasizing national unity.

His Eminence Sheikh Hamoud Al-Hanawi, the Druze community leader in Syria, visited the governorate of Al-Suwayda on Saturday, April 5, where he met with its governor, Dr. Mustafa Al-Bakour, to congratulate him on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
During the meeting, Sheikh Al-Hanawi emphasized that "national unity and equality among all Syrians, regardless of their affiliations, are the solid foundation for coexistence," stressing the importance of fostering solidarity among the Syrian people and adhering to national constants in this crucial phase of Syria's history.
Sheikh Hamoud Al-Hanawi enjoys a prestigious position as one of the prominent religious references of the Druze community in Syria. His stances are characterized by moderation and patriotism, with his constant concern for maintaining the stability of the governorate and keeping it away from any conflicts or disturbances.
It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Al-Hanawi had previously stated to Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath channel in March that "the relationship of the community members with the capital, Damascus, has never been severed," denying any Israeli interference in the affairs of Al-Suwayda and emphasizing that such statements "do not reflect the community's position or represent its orientations."
