4 million Captagon pills were seized hidden inside industrial equipment in Latakia.

The Anti-Drug Administration successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs in Latakia city, seizing over four million Captagon pills hidden inside industrial equipment used for making tahini.
This significant security operation was based on precise information received by the Syrian Interior Ministry regarding a drug shipment being prepared for smuggling out of the country.
In collaboration with specialized K9 units in drug detection, the Administration's teams managed to locate and raid the site, uncovering the carefully concealed drugs inside the industrial machinery.
Director of the Anti-Drug Administration, Khalid Eid, emphasized that this operation is part of ongoing efforts to track down drug manufacturers and traffickers, preventing this large quantity from reaching the markets and spreading among youth.
The raid resulted in the arrest of all individuals involved in the operation, along with the confiscation of the equipment used to conceal the drugs. The suspects were referred for investigation based on directives from the relevant public prosecution.
The Administration reiterated its commitment to continue security campaigns against drug smuggling networks and traders, aiming to protect society from the harms of this scourge and ensure a safe environment free from toxins.
