The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the establishment of a special operations room to monitor the situation of Iranian pilgrims, numbering around 76,000, operating around the clock in Mecca and Medina to ensure the provision of high-quality service and care throughout their stay in the Kingdom until their departure. This decision was made in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and under the direct supervision of the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who has instructed to facilitate all the needs of Iranian pilgrims and provide all services, especially in light of the Israeli escalation on Iranian territories, resulting in the deaths of dozens and the destruction of nuclear facilities and infrastructure. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has conducted a comprehensive and detailed review of the level of services provided to Iranian pilgrims to ensure the continuity of care and service quality. In coordination with the relevant Saudi authorities, the Ministry has developed a comprehensive plan to organize the departure of pilgrims, in response to a request from the Iranian side responsible for pilgrims' affairs, ensuring the smooth flow of procedures and transitions at all stages. The plan includes transporting pilgrims through domestic flights from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina to Arar Airport, and from there to the Arar land border crossing to complete their journey overland to Iran. The implementation of the plan began practically last Friday, with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah teams continuing to provide full care and direct services to Iranian pilgrims until their safe departure from the Kingdom, in line with the Kingdom's care for the guests of the Merciful from all over the world.
