Revolution Basketball Team Clinches Top Spot in Second Division League and Qualifies for First Division

The Revolution basketball team achieved a big victory over their guest Al-Wathba with a score of (81-45) at Al-Fayhaa Hall in Damascus, as part of the fifth round of the second division basketball league finals, officially qualifying for the first division.

The Revolution dominated the match from the first half, excelling in all quarters, while Al-Wathba suffered its first loss in the finals, despite securing a promotion spot in advance.

Al-Wathba had previously defeated the Revolution in the first leg with a score of (62-41), but the recent loss led to its drop to second place behind the Revolution, based on the direct encounters difference between them.

In the final round to be held on Saturday, Al-Wathba will host Al-Rawda at Ghazwan Abu Zeid Hall in Homs, while the Revolution will visit their rival Al-Taliya at Nasih Alwani Hall in Hama, at the same time (6:00 PM).

Although the results of these two matches will not affect the qualification outcome, they will determine the team that will clinch the top spot, as both teams are tied at (9) points.

On the other hand, Al-Taliya achieved an away win against Al-Rawda with a score of (71-52) at Al-Jalaa Hall in Aleppo, raising their points to (7), while Al-Rawda's points remained at (5).

It is worth mentioning that the final standings of the teams before the last round were as follows: Revolution (9) points, Al-Wathba (9), Al-Taliya (7), Al-Rawda (5).
