In a dramatic incident, Egyptian media personality Riham Saeed surprised her followers with an urgent plea from Beirut Airport after being detained by Lebanese authorities upon her arrival to attend the trial session of the famous Lebanese doctor she accuses of disfiguring her face due to a medical error.

Riham, who was on her way to meet the court to follow up on her case against the doctor, posted on her Facebook account, appealing for immediate intervention from the Egyptian embassy. She wrote:
"Please, someone contact the Egyptian embassy, the doctor used his influence and caused my detention at the airport coinciding with my arrival to attend the session." She added defiantly:
"I am not afraid, no matter what you do, you are a doctor who disfigured me and made a medical mistake, do you need money?"

The conflict between the media personality and the doctor dates back several months when Riham Saeed appeared on her show on one of the channels with a disfigured face as a result of a medical error committed by the doctor during a cosmetic surgery in Lebanon.
Riham had traveled to Beirut for a cosmetic surgery on her cheeks, but she was surprised by the doctor changing his plan and performing the operation on her eyes, resulting in a negative impact on her vision and disfigurement of her face.

On the other hand, the doctor filed a lawsuit against Riham Saeed, accusing her of fraud, claiming that she did not pay him for the operation and that she fabricated the disfigurement story to avoid paying him, but Riham, who did not remain silent about her rights, continued to file lawsuits against the doctor, accusing him of seven charges, including disfigurement, unauthorized surgery, as well as defamation, and her case is now under investigation in the criminal court.

Riham was supposed to attend the session for the trial of the Lebanese doctor, but she was surprised by her detention at the airport and prevented from entering Lebanon.
The story between the media personality and the doctor is far from over, and this new chapter seems to have a significant impact on the developments of the case followed by many.
