Qatar suspends departures following Iranian attacks on Al-Udeid US base

Reuters quoted Kuwaiti authorities on Monday as suspending departures due to regional developments, following Iranian attacks on the Al-Udeid US base in Qatar.

Kuwaiti authorities also suspended departures for the same reason.

Axios reported on Monday that Iran launched 6 missiles targeting the Al-Udeid US base in Qatar, in addition to other bases in Iraq.

A US official confirmed that Washington is aware of reports of an Iranian missile attack on Qatar.

The official added: "We have not recorded any injuries among US forces in Qatar following the Iranian missile attack".

The US official said: "Our forces have taken defensive measures preemptively in anticipation of any Iranian attack on our bases in the region".
