Paris to Host Anticipated Meeting Between Syria and Israel Under American Sponsorship

A trilateral meeting is scheduled to take place today, Thursday, in the French capital, Paris, bringing together the American envoy Tom Barrack with the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs and the Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani.

Axios journalist Barak Ravid cited informed sources in a post on the Axios platform, stating that the meeting will focus on security issues related to southern Syria.

This comes following reports of the resumption of security communication between the Syrian administration and Israel under American-Turkish sponsorship, indicating Turkish-Israeli communication regarding the crisis in Syria.

Al Arabiya channel reported that Turkey and Syria are discussing issues related to the SDF, Druze, Alawites, and agreements with Israel, noting that an Israeli delegation is heading to Azerbaijan to finalize agreements, and the issue of Suwayda is on its way to resolution".
