Outcomes of Paris Meeting: Tripartite Statement Supporting Political Transition, Syria's Sovereignty, and Stability

During a sensitive diplomatic tour to the French capital, Paris, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaaban met with his French counterpart Jean-Noël Barou and the US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barak in Paris, in a meeting focused on supporting Syria's sovereignty and stability on Friday.
The two sides discussed mechanisms of mutual cooperation in combating terrorism and ways to enhance international efforts to prosecute those involved in acts of violence inside Syria, according to SANA agency.
The meeting also discussed continuing consultations on the implementation of the March 10 agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces "SDF", within the framework of enhancing stability and ensuring calm in the tension areas.
During the meeting, al-Shaaban emphasized the importance of international coordination to support a political process that preserves Syria's unity and ensures the rights of all its components.
A joint statement was issued after the meeting, the statement published by SANA agency said: "Foreign Ministers and the designated officials Mr. Asaad Hassan al-Shaaban, the Syrian Foreign Minister, Jean-Noël Barou, the French Foreign Minister, and the US Special Envoy to Syria Mr. Thomas Barak, held a frank and constructive meeting in the French capital, Paris, within the framework of close cooperation between the participating parties, at a critical moment for the Syrian Arab Republic".
