Pakistan welcomes the lifting of US sanctions on Syria and reaffirms its support for stability and reconstruction.

Pakistan has welcomed the decision of the United States to lift the sanctions imposed on Syria, describing it as a "pivotal step towards achieving regional stability and economic recovery."

This came in a statement issued by the Pakistani Embassy in Damascus, according to "SANA" agency, where it emphasized that "this action will contribute to enhancing Syria's economic growth and supporting the reconstruction efforts undertaken by the Syrian authorities."

The statement praised "the commitment of all countries, especially the United States, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, to their constructive work towards achieving peace in Syria."

The embassy also expressed Pakistan's support for any "solution led by the Syrians themselves," affirming that their country "will remain steadfast in supporting the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Syria."
