Opposing protests in Damascus: Al-Tadamon neighborhood rises up due to a governmental decision.

A massive protest took place in the Tadamun neighborhood south of the capital Damascus today, Friday, in protest of a visit by the former commander of the "National Defense" militia affiliated with the deposed Assad regime, Fadi Saqr, to the neighborhood.

Saqr's visit to Nisreen Street in the Tadamun neighborhood, yesterday Thursday, during which he held a meeting with a number of dignitaries in the area,

came amidst an intense security campaign launched by the security forces in the area, escalating tensions among the residents.
