Damascus Refuses Separation and Emphasizes State Unity in Negotiations with SDF

A Syrian government source confirmed today, Thursday, regarding negotiations with the SDF, that Syria rejects separation and emphasizes state unity.
The government source said in a press statement, "The Syrian state has not and will not accept any threats or preconditions", indicating that "genuine national dialogue does not happen under the pressure of arms".
The source added that "genuine national dialogue does not rely on the support of any external party", stressing that "any attempt to maintain the manifestations of arming and separation will lead to tension and division".
He pointed out that "using the events of Suwayda or the coast to reject alignment under the state flag is condemned", noting that "any call for an independent identity is considered separatist and cannot be accepted".
During the past weeks, the Suwayda province witnessed bloody clashes between Druze militants and Bedouin tribes, which ended with local mediations to cease fire, followed by Israeli shelling targeting Syrian military convoys on their way to the region.
