To Explore New Partnerships .. Official Visit of the Syrian Minister of Energy to Baghdad

The Syrian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Engineer Mohammad Al-Bashir, accompanied by an official delegation, arrived in the Iraqi capital Baghdad as part of a visit aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.

The minister is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with Iraqi officials to discuss strategic files, most notably the rehabilitation of the oil pipeline between Kirkuk and the port of Baniyas, in addition to discussing cooperation opportunities in water resource projects and exchanging technical expertise.

This visit comes as part of the efforts of Damascus and Baghdad to develop economic partnerships and open new horizons for coordination in vital areas that serve the interests of both countries.
