WhatsApp Introduces a New Feature to Follow Conversations Without Reading Them Completely

Meta has launched a new feature in WhatsApp that allows users to summarize unread messages, providing a quick way to follow conversations without the need to read them in full.
The feature, announced in an official post on the Meta blog, relies on Meta's technologies to generate concise summaries of messages, displayed in clear points, aiming to enable users to understand the chat content before interacting with it in detail.
The company stated: "Sometimes, you just need to quickly catch up on your messages. That's why we're excited to introduce 'Message Summaries,' a new feature that summarizes unread messages quickly and efficiently."
Meta confirmed that the feature uses what is known as "special processing technology" to protect user privacy, ensuring that contacts cannot know whether their messages have been summarized or displayed.
In the initial stage, the feature will be available to users in only, with plans to roll it out to more countries and languages later this year.
This feature is part of a broader strategy that Meta is working on to deploy artificial intelligence tools across its various platforms, after launching AI-powered chat in both WhatsApp and Instagram."
