Naeem Qasim denies any involvement of Hezbollah in the Lebanese-Syrian border tensions.

The Secretary-General of the Lebanese "Hezbollah" party, Na'im Qassem, denied any connection of the party to the recent tensions on the Lebanese-Syrian border and inside Syria, affirming that the party "has no relation to these events."
This statement was made by Qassem during remarks on the evening of Saturday, March 29, where he stated: "Events took place on the Lebanese-Syrian border and inside Syrian territories, and Hezbollah is completely innocent of them."
Qassem also called on the Lebanese army to "take responsibility for protecting citizens from the attacks occurring in the border areas with Syria."
This statement comes amid escalating security tensions between the two countries, as the Syrian army previously announced the killing of three of its members in an ambush attributed to "Hezbollah" near the border, before the region witnessed a wave of escalation.
In the context of these developments, the Syrian and Lebanese defense ministers signed an agreement under Saudi sponsorship to enhance border demarcation and coordinate security and military efforts between the two countries.
