Mohamed Salah, the star of English Liverpool, made exciting statements in which he described himself as the best in the history of African football, surpassing big names like George Weah, Didier Drogba, and Samuel Eto'o.
In his interview with the Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport", Salah said: "Who is the best African player in history? I think it's me, despite the presence of big names like Weah, Drogba, and Eto'o".
When asked about the best coach in his career, Salah chose the Italian coach Luciano Spalletti, ignoring his former coach at Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, who led him to win the Champions League and the English Premier League, and said: "The best coach who trained me? Spalletti".
The Egyptian star also talked about the players he wished to play alongside, explaining that he wished to play with Steven Gerrard and Thierry Henry, and added: "I didn't play with Eden Hazard in his best periods, but he would have been the perfect partner".
Regarding the toughest defenders he faced, Salah pointed to the Spanish Sergio Ramos, saying he is one of the most prominent defenders he played against in his career.
These statements sparked controversy among the fans, especially as they clearly ignore Klopp, who played a pivotal role in elevating Salah to the ranks of global stars.
