The Syrian Minister of Tourism, Engineer Mazen Al-Salehany, discussed today, Thursday, with the Governor of Daraa, Anwar Taha Al-Zu'bi, the status of the tourism sector in the province, and ways to develop its archaeological and touristic sites to support local development and provide new investment opportunities, within the government's efforts to enhance tourism resources in the southern provinces.

The meeting addressed the necessity of improving tourism services, activating promotional programs for the historical and natural sites that distinguish Daraa, paving the way for the launch of developmental projects that contribute to enhancing domestic and international tourism.

The Minister Al-Salehany is scheduled to conduct a field tour that includes a number of touristic and archaeological sites in the province, to assess their readiness and identify their technical and service needs, ensuring the integration of the planning vision with the field reality.

Daraa province is witnessing significant development in the attention given to touristic and archaeological sites, as part of a national strategy to support local development through tourism. The province hosts many historical and natural landmarks that serve as attractive elements for investment and tourism promotion. The Ministry of Tourism is working to enhance partnership with the private sector to transform these resources into sustainable projects that have a positive impact on the local community.
