The Syrian Minister of Information, Hamza Mustafa, said today, Saturday, that the state responded to the call of international mediators to avoid any military confrontation or open war that would hinder Syria's development path.
During a press conference on the ceasefire agreement and the latest developments in Sweida province, the minister confirmed that work is ongoing in the second phase to open humanitarian crossings between Daraa and Sweida to secure the exit of civilians, wounded, injured, and anyone wishing to leave Sweida.
The minister also announced the formation of an emergency committee from government ministries and bodies to deliver humanitarian and medical aid, provide essential services, and repair infrastructure.
He pointed out that efforts are underway to secure all detainees from the Bedouin tribes held by outlaw groups and to coordinate prisoner exchanges.
