The Minister of Information, Dr. Hamza Mustafa, said in an interview with the Syrian channel "Al-Ikhbariya" today, Wednesday, that the state has the right to control its territories, and the people of As-Suwayda are a fundamental pillar in the Syrian state that accommodates all its components and they are part of this nation.
The Minister added that the Syrian government has shown great flexibility in finding political solutions, but the result was more provocations, breaking promises, and creating a military reality contrary to the state that tried to avoid a military solution.
The Minister also affirmed that the Syrian state was not in a weak position to resolve the As-Suwayda file, which was possible in recent months, but it asked the parties to agree on a common formula, yet some relied on external factors.
The Minister of Information said, "There is a conviction among the people of As-Suwayda that reaching an agreement with the Syrian government is to reposition the province within the Syrian nation".
He added: "The Israeli shelling on Damascus is not a victory but rather an escape from internal pressures facing the government of the Israeli occupation entity".
