Minister of Higher Education Discusses with Rural Damascus Governor Ways to Benefit from Student Projects and Employ Them in Public Sectors

During the meeting, Minister Al-Halabi highlighted the integrated relationship between the ministry and the governorate, considering it the main reference for institutions, especially with the presence of several universities in it. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, scientific research, and the possibility of utilizing graduation projects for students in areas such as parks and architecture, and providing facilities for the governorate to obtain projects. He confirmed the ministry's readiness for cooperation and exchange of ideas in these fields, and the formation of a committee for joint communication and coordination.
Minister Al-Halabi emphasized the importance of connecting the university with the job market and the possibility of the governorate benefiting from fifth-year students' projects in the Faculty of Architecture, and from the creative energies at the Institute of Regional Planning to revive some projects. He pointed out the existence of an educational map that considers suitable locations for establishing universities in the governorate to meet its educational needs, and provide academic expertise to the ministry, expressing its readiness to support the governorate.
In turn, the Governor of Rural Damascus emphasized the pivotal role of the university in society, enhancing social values and changing previous concepts, pointing to the importance of understanding the ministry's vision regarding the location of scientific and educational institutions, and benefiting from student projects in planning investment and service projects, and providing needs in various fields, such as renewable energy and joint projects. He expressed the governorate's readiness to provide all necessary services to universities in Rural Damascus.
