Minister of Agriculture: Latakia Fires Caused Severe Losses to National Forest Wealth

The Syrian Minister of Agriculture, Amjad Badr, said today, Sunday, that after 4 days of its outbreak, the fires are still ongoing in the forests of Latakia, where they have affected about 10,000 hectares of forests, causing severe losses to the national forest wealth.

In a tweet on "Twitter", Minister Badr added: "The agriculture and emergency teams continue firefighting efforts with support from Turkey and Jordan, and we urge reporting any behavior that may worsen the situation".
