Minister of Administrative Development discusses with German Agency for International Cooperation GIZ delegation prospects of cooperation to modernize government work

The Minister of Administrative Development, Mr. Mohamed Hassan Al-Sakaf, received a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation GIZ, led by Ms. Tania Lohmann. The meeting discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation in the field of public administration modernization.
The meeting focused on the importance of qualifying and training human resources as a fundamental pillar in the institutional transformation process, emphasizing that improving administrative performance requires investment in employee training and skill development.
The Minister emphasized that continuous training of human resources will directly contribute to improving the quality of government services provided to citizens.
The necessity of restructuring the legislative system related to the Civil Service Law and developing human resource management was also discussed, aiming to address labor surplus.
Ms. Lohmann highlighted the importance of continuing to develop modern systems for human resource management and implementing comprehensive institutional reforms, contributing to the modernization of Syrian bureaucracy and building the capacities of public sector employees.
Lohmann praised the ministry's efforts in promoting good governance principles, emphasizing that enhancing transparency and accountability are closely linked to institutions' ability to provide effective and reliable services to citizens.
