Lebanon and Syria's defense ministers sign an agreement to demarcate the borders with Saudi mediation.

Lebanese Defense Minister Michel Mounir and his Syrian counterpart Marwan Abou Qasra signed an agreement to demarcate the borders between the two countries.
This came after intensive talks that started yesterday evening in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where they agreed to enhance security and military coordination to face common challenges.
The signing took place under the auspices of Saudi Arabia, which officially expressed its full support for anything that enhances the security and stability of Lebanon and Syria, contributing to regional stability.
Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman expressed his happiness with this agreement, describing it as a "significant step" towards broader security cooperation.
Jeddah hosted a meeting on Thursday, March 27, between the delegations of both countries, discussing enhancing security cooperation, information exchange, controlling illegal crossings, and the border demarcation file.
The Lebanese Defense Minister emphasized that the meeting was "excellent in terms of security," pointing out that the Saudi initiative helped overcome obstacles in direct communication between the two sides.
