A blood donation campaign has been launched in Damascus with the participation of several entities.

In a joint effort between the Blood Bank, Civil Defense, and other supporting institutions, the "Inspirers" team launched an initiative to encourage blood donation after an urgent appeal from the Blood Bank due to a severe shortage of all blood types.
According to the local newspaper "Al-Hurriya," Dr. Ghania Najati, a team member, explained that the campaign started on the 25th of this month and will continue until the end of Ramadan.
She added, "We were supposed to announce the campaign at the end of the holy month, but the urgent need for blood, especially for surgeries and patients with chronic diseases like thalassemia and cancer, prompted us to act quickly." She also noted the high turnout for donations, with many volunteers rushing to contribute to this humanitarian cause.
On the other hand, Dr. Lamia Al-Adl, the director of the "Inspirers" team, mentioned that the team aimed to encourage donors by offering discounts on various services, such as medical and psychological check-ups, dental treatments, as well as design and photography services, with discounts reaching up to 45%.
