According to what was published by the Syrian Civil Defense on its Telegram channel, a young man was killed and another was seriously injured in two separate explosions of landmines from war remnants in southern Idlib countryside today, Friday, February 21. War remnants and landmines threaten the lives of civilians, causing serious injuries, undermining agricultural activities, and hindering civilians' return to their homes in wide areas of Syria. The first young man was killed by a mine explosion while working on mine clearance in the village of Al-Fatirah south of Idlib. The Civil Defense teams transferred him to the forensic medicine in Idlib city. Another young man was seriously injured (lower limb amputation) in a landmine explosion in a grove near the city of Kafr Nabl in southern Idlib countryside. Civilians provided him with first aid to the nearest medical point, and then the Civil Defense transferred him to the hospital in Ariha.
