Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Thursday that "Iran has triumphed over Israel and America," in his first recorded message since Washington announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, adding that "Israel was on the verge of collapse under Iranian strikes."
Khamenei said America entered the war because it felt that if it did not do so, Israel would be completely destroyed, noting that America did not achieve any accomplishments from this war.
Khamenei said that (US President Donald) Trump exaggerated the results of the strikes on our nuclear sites, emphasizing that "our nuclear sites were not damaged."
Khamenei warned that "any Israeli aggression against Iran will cost it dearly," pointing out that "Iran has destroyed Israeli military capabilities.. and Israel did not anticipate the strength of our strikes."
Khamenei threatened by saying, "We will attack American bases again if they launch attacks against us," adding: "We have the ability to target American bases at any time."
Khamenei also emphasized that "Iran is strong and will not accept surrender," pointing out that "Trump is trying to conceal the reality of what happened."
